SUNSHINE AND BLUE SKIES!

Hello lovely friends! It’s Kylie with you today with some more planner inspiration. I’ve been enjoying being back in my Blush Speckle Traveler’s Notebook lately. I love the versatility it brings and find it so easy for planning on the go.The size of it means I can slip it quite easily into my handbag.

I’ve been using quite a few inserts and dressing them up with the Sunshine and Blue Skies collection by Simple Stories. It’s pretty much Winter here for me in Australia so when I open the pages of my planning it’s like being on Summer Vacation!

I created some temporary covers that slide in over the top of each insert. Using one of my insert books as a template I traced around them onto some of my favourite papers before cutting them out to size.

Once I had them cut to size came the fun part of embellishing them. I’ve layered lots of different elements from the collection and love all the colour!

Since the TN inserts have rounded corners I also used a corner punch to round the corners of my covers. For fun I also added some pom pom trim from my craft stash to the edges to act as a border.

One of my favourite inserts is the ‘Weekly’ inserts. I use these all the time for my day to day planning as it’s nice to see your week all laid out on two pages. I’ve used date stickers from the Numbers Sticker Tablet, to mark my week.I also created a fun page mark so I can find the week I am up to easily when my TN is closed.

These page marks are quite quick and easy to make. To begin, I cut a 3 x 4 piece of paper. Then cut two slits up from the bottom, evenly from both sides, stopping just ½ an inch down from the top. Next, I added some of my favourite Bits & Pieces to the top over a punched circle of contrasting paper. When I slide it onto my page, you can just see it sticking out the top making it easy for finding your place.

One of my most favourite places in my planner is where each cover meet and will quite often leave it open on my desk like this. By making each cover removeable for my TN inserts means I can swap and change them as I like.

I also really enjoy the ‘Monthly’ inserts in my Traveler’s Notebook. They are great for that ‘quick glance’ of important dates and events over the monthly period.I’ve again added some of the date stickers as well as the 4 x 6 stickers from the Sunshine & Blue Skies collection. I love the square stickers that fit perfectly in the day squares!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Traveler’s Notebook today and it inspires you a little with your own planning.

Until next time,

Kylie.
